LEGISLATION AND REGULATION

Privacy, consumer rights and fair-trading will soon be legislated by the government. Break the rules, and you face court action.

So that you will know exactly what is required when you are using DM, the DMAM will keep you informed about changes to the law. Plus, as a member of DMAM, your company will gain credibility as a reputable direct marketer in the eyes of the consumer.

DMAM Seal of Approval

One of our roles is to reassure consumers that our members operate at the highest ethical level. If you are marketing to consumers, you can provide that guarantee by displaying our Seal of Approval.

Mailing Preference Service

Consumers who do not wish to receive unsolicited mail can add their name to our MPS register. As a responsible marketer, you can access the file and clean any matching names off your mailing lists.

Industry Self-Regulation

Direct Marketing is an ethical business practice. To convince the Government and legislators of this, we are instigating a complete self-regulatory/disciplinary structure, including a complaint investigation process, to ensure that ethical standards are maintained.
